Following a breathtaking show that captured hearts across the south, we are thrilled to return to Cork this winter for our third season with a brand-new theme, which will be revealed soon—stay tuned!
Last season, our enchanting theme "Fota by Night" transported visitors into a realm of light and wonder, celebrating the natural beauty of the estate's gardens after dark. A standout highlight was the striking wildlife installation, which featured golden sculptures of animals that once roamed Fota—including rabbits, foxes, deer, squirrels, and even brown bears from times past.
Guests were mesmerised by the stunning projection mapping onto Fota House itself, where the transition from winter to spring was brought to life in a vivid burst of colour and light. Set to an atmospheric soundtrack, it was an unforgettable spectacle that showcased the estate in a whole new light.
New for 2026:
Memory Capture - photographers will be on site to capture picture perfect moments of you with your loved ones among the show. You can choose your shots at the end and decide if you'd like to purchase a printed and digital copy.
Alpine Food & Drinks Village
Get ready to satisfy your festive food cravings with the most delicious addition to the Wonderlights experience – the Alpine Food & Drinks Village. No need to worry about going hungry during your visit; set amidst a cozy atmosphere with picnic benches and twinkling festoon lights, our Alpine Food & Drinks Village is the perfect place to take a break. It will be open every evening of the event, so you can treat yourself to some delightful bites before or after your walk by Wonderlight.

A Sustainable and Eco-Conscious Event
We work in close partnership with the grounds staff of Fota House to enhance the natural features of the woodland areas and maintain the integrity of the parklands.
The shows are powered with energy-efficient bulbs that use up to 80 per cent less energy than traditional lighting.
In selecting Fota House we are advocating accessibility by public transport. While there is a car park, the location is served by numerous bus routes and the train, which we encourage our visitors to choose where they can.
